The actor, writer and author, Wynford Ellis Owen — who has worked extensively for Cambrensis Communications Ltd over the years — has won a commission to write a new six-part comedy series, Rhacsun Sam Snape, for BBC Radio Cymru.

Rhacsun Sam Snape follows Sam as he retires as night editor on the Sun tabloid in Wapping to his hometown of Tre Wynfa on the outskirts of Cardiff, the capital of Wales.

The series will be recorded in September and will be ready for transmission on BBC Radio Cymru from Autumn 2006 onwards.

Acting in the series will be: John Pierce Jones, Rhian Morgan, Wynford Ellis Owen, Dafydd Emyr, Lisa Palfrey, Rhodri Meilir and one special guest star every week.
