get to know gwen…
How would you describe yourself?
In three words: Expressive, enthusiastic, dedicated.
What's your favourite time of the day? Give me a Sunday morning with nothing to do, no hangover, a clean house and plans to go sailing or anytime with stillness, a water sprinkler and a good book.
What do you like most?
I like being around creative people, listening to good music at 3am, ballet dancing, surprises.
What's your favourite place in the world?
Je t'aime Paris. It takes my breath away and makes me wish I was a millionairess.
What's your favourite smell? The smell of Snowdonian fresh air, fairground hot dogs, Coco Chanel, Baby Powder bring on a wave of nostalgia for me.
What's your favourite food?
Fresh ravioli, Café Naz curry, a cheese platter and a St. David's Hotel pudding. D'you think I could fit them all on my last supper tray?
What's your favourite season?
Winter is my favourite season. The days seem to have more structure — daylight is for work and night time is for films, Christmas shopping and fireworks.
What are you currently listening to?
I listen to the radio all the time. I can't sleep without Radio 4 on, can't cook Saturday bacon sandwiches without Jonathan Ross and thank goodness for Radio Cymru on the A470.
What would you find on your bedside table?
I have every Vogue magazine published since 1992. They take up a lot of space and are very heavy, but there's no way I can throw that beautiful photography away.
What do I hate most?
Regret.
What's your favourite motto?
'Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.'
— Goethe
