We recognize that in-house learning can be expensive and time-consuming. Many external organisations offer rigid, off-the-shelf programmes with no flexibility over content, location and duration. This means those to be trained receive only what is on offer at the time and are not able to work closely with programme leaders to tackle issues important and relevant to them.

This leads to wasted money on the part of the organisation, together with frustration and little or no performance improvement from staff.
