Cambrensis have built a strong relationship with the Countryside Council for Wales over the last eight years, providing the WAG agency with a number of public relations, event management, marketing and media training services including event management of stands at the Royal Welsh Show and the National Eisteddfod.

Cambrensis were appointed to undertake a three—year publicity, marketing and information contract for the Countryside Council for Wales Open Access programme.

Responsibilities included planning, researching, monitoring and advising on strategic local and national PR. Cambrensis successfully orchestrated a targeted PR and marketing campaign across specialist, national, regional and Welsh language media, supported by over 200 'open door' events in town and village halls across Wales where the public could drop in to learn more about the implications of the Open Access programme and the new Countryside Rights of Way.

The personal contact and sensitive handling of individual issues meant that when the legislation finally came in to force this May, the Countryside Council for Wales avoided the crisis it would have faced if people hadn't been made aware of the changes in advance.
