gwynedd business awards

In May 2006, Cambrensis joined forces with ATOM to organise the inaugural Gwynedd Business Awards on behalf of Gwynedd Council.

Within a short time frame of two months, the team was responsible for the event management and PR of the Awards as well as the administration of the application process. We were also responsible for branding and raising sponsorship for the event.

Our approach was to see the event as a celebration of local achievement, and follow this ethos throughout. The event therefore showcased the best local produce on the menu, local spring water, entertainment from the county and we used local suppliers for design work, AV services, floristry and photography.

On the evening, 150 guests attended the gala dinner at the Celtic Royal Hotel.  The event received overwhelming support from the business sector, with each category receiving many entries. 15 organisations in all provided sponsorship for the event's ten categories. The success of the event resulted in Gwynedd Council announcing that the Gwynedd Business Awards would become an annual occasion.
